2018 Indianapolis 500 Race

2018 was a new beginning for me. It had been 24 years since my last 500, and I was eager to get back into it. Life happens, and other priorities take over. But the Indy 500 never really leaves you, not really.

There are people who have seen 50, 60, even 70 500’s. I find that simply amazing. I have seen 11 (and one year—2021—when I attended almost every day except race day), and i wish it were more. I say it all the time; it really does get in your blood.

2018 was a good time to come back. Danica patrick was still racing, many new drivers were just getting started, and the racing was fast.
